Choir – “A chorus that sings as part of a religious ceremony; company of people who are trained to sing together; a family of similar musical instruments playing together.” The dictionary gives us the definition of the natural attributes of a choir, but we must look to the word of God for the spiritual definition of what God had in mind for the aggregation named “Choir”
It is comforting to know that our teens are multi-faceted, multi-talented and musically brilliant. Because of these attributes, this performing ensemble has an innovative, creative avenue of expression by which God is glorified. It is exhilarating to see these young musicians display their skills in directing, singing, playing instruments, composing, etc. during rehearsals and worship services. The overarching goal of the International Youth Choir is to help our young people to grow, musically and spiritually. We desire to usher young talent into the realm of ministry and excellence.
